Pocket Dictionary for Teachers

Introduction

This pocket dictionary  is intended to provide a handy collection of useful words according to alphabetical order. The words inside will help the practicing teachers in formulating objectives for their lessons. The words take the form of behavioural words verbs which are frequently used in lesson objectives which result in measurable outcomes.

It should however be realized that many Nambya words have meanings other than those given, thus the Nambya equivalents of English words are often not the only ones. The use of the full dictionary is recommended for more detailed study.

Some acquaintance with some more words can be found in the Nambya pocket dictionary by Fr. Alexander Nechinyuni (Alapont) and the Nambya dictionary (first edition by Fr Augustine Moreno).

Please note that most of these words in this pocket dictionary were used in the translation of the new syllabus in Nambya, recommended by the Ministtry of Education, Sports and Cultre.
